Our Program, Our Approach and Requirements
Our Program
Through the program, apprentice teachers gain invaluable experience in the field of education, while working alongside a mentor teacher. Over the course of a year-long paid apprenticeship, IndyTeach apprentices undergo 3 key stages of transitional development to gain the knowledge and skills of a practicing teacher. Upon completion of the program and passage of the CORE exams, apprentices qualify for an Indiana teacher instructional license.
